  • Are you sure about drilling and tapping the frame to mount that ECU looking thing (not really sure about what that is, sorry)? Genuine concern, won't it cause problems with AFR? I mean, the extra air is sucked before the carbs, but still... Anyway nice work

    JacoJaco8 dager siden
    • Oh ok, not a big deal then, thanks for clarifying!

      JacoJaco7 dager siden
    • @Jaco Thank You!!! So we had it drilled because that Munit needs to be grounded on both ends and we used a vacuum machine to remove metal filings as much as possible then cleaned air box completely just to make sure and sealed the threads to prevent extra air from going in.

  • So, you took this Classic looking cruiser motorcycle, spent a bunch of money and put in a lot of work, and you turned it into that malformed abortion. Are you people really happy with what you've done? Because i can tell you straight up, if i had a choice between riding that and walking, I'd shoot that thing to put it out of it's misery and walk.

  • Hi Guys! Great job! The bike is super nice! I'd like to ask how did you find this exhaust? Did you build it yourself from scratch? If yes, can you build one for me? I have a 1982 XV920 and I need an exhaust. Another question. I’ve noticed that you are using an M-Unit in your construction. How easy is to insert it on the old bike? Did you replace the rectifier/regulator and ignition coils too? Did you rebuild the whole harness?

    Aldo BegaAldo Bega13 dager siden
    • @MotoW Thanks for your reply!

      Aldo BegaAldo Bega4 timer siden
    • @Aldo Bega thank you!! Look for Spyramoto on Insta he builds the best pipes for these bikes in my opinion and yes the Munit is the way to go we made a complete new harness and had to use ricks rectifier for lithium battery and we used original coils. So links for harness diagram and other parts are in the description. Thanks!!!

  • Are you sure aboiut the air filter? it looks more linke a crankshaft breather filter for cars, the inlet i like 20mm. think it will cost you like 90% of the horses

    Ya MaYa Ma13 dager siden
    • Hi yes we still kept same filter just had to increase its diameter to the necessary size while jetting was done that initial size was only enough for it to idle haha Thanks for Watching!!!

      MotoWMotoW13 dager siden
  • they might give you a little back pressure, from all the 90's which might be good. You may have to re jet the carbs to get it to run correctly and not burn your valves

    BobbyDukeBobbyDuke13 dager siden
  • loos to long a little in the front might scrape in turns

Now I know why you have so many nice tools .. You have some kind of a buinsess there too .. I never had a GF help me fix or build things.. Unless It was her car and I made her help ..

  • If they painted the brake calipers gold to match the front suspension and a few other small parts i think that would have really set it off but I could be way off. Anybody else think that would be a good idea? It turned out to be a truly elegant piece of machinery, great job. That's something to be proud of that's for sure.

  • I Used to have one of those bikes and i did a few things to mine as well Back in the day . I can NOT believe all the effort your putting into this bike and SKIMP on the STEEL BRAIDED BRAKE LINES what a shame. I would have converted the rear to chain drive that is what I did to mine because the drive shaft is so heavy and also you gain disc brakes in the rear when you convert to chain also They did not have those type of front end at the time when I had mine would have been nice if they had I would have converted mine as well so all i could do to mine at the time was handle bars and little bolt on stuff.
