  • The one thing that stood out for me was the speed of distribution from Henderson to Fred, then boom straight onto Rashford and goal. Less than 10 seconds. I've not seen that for a long old time from Dave, although I do think he's still the best shot stopper in terms of sheer reaction time. On the subject of Rashford it's insane seeing people complaining about the guy, he's getting chance after chance because he's making the correct runs, and he's still on for 20+ goals this season not playing at his best. That's mint! Very happy for Maguire and Bailly getting their clean sheet too, they worked well together. Especially happy for Dan James to grab a goal as he worked very hard, and it's nice to see we've got some goals in our rotation players. Top night all round. That Bruno guy is alright.

    Zeeshan AliZeeshan Ali6 dager siden
  • Rashford is not a finisher, he cannot hold the ball up and does not look for players in the box most of the time. What he is good at is committing defenders and dribbling past them, which he rarely does now. His best attribute is pace and needs to be used only when the situation is right. For a low block Rashford is better of coming on in the second half, after the defense is tired and then he can work them. He is the ideal candidate for teams that press high and the midfield must be tasked to find him at every opportunity, he needs to start against such teams, because no one can beat him for pace. Against the low block players must be able to hold on to the ball more under pressure in the final third and this is not Rashford's best attribute. But from what I see from a small sample size of matches from the youth players that are coming through, Shola, Amad and Pellistri all can hold on the ball better than some of the first team players, I don't think it is coincidence that these are the players that Ole is promoting to the first team. Dan James also has very good potential and he need to improve his decision making. He has all the attributes to be the next Salah, I see Dan James right now as Salah was at Chelsea.

    Craig ThompsonCraig Thompson6 dager siden
    • Even the first goal you can partially blame maguire for because of his lack of pace the forward just outruns him n makes a cross/shot in which de gea can’t catch but only parry away

      Amir MekanovicAmir Mekanovic6 dager siden
    • It’s not hendo it’s bailey lol 😂 the agenda is real. Hendo doesn’t tell the back 4 to play higher up. With lindeoff n maguire no matter who’s in goal they drop too deep cuz of lack of pace. Then the double pivot are dropped back with them to protect them cuz of lack of pace then all the space between Bruno n the cdm is left so the opponents control The midfield n can’t get the ball to our forwards. Just look at Everton game how much that lack pace exposed the cbs. If you want to blame de gea for first goal sure okay but rest of goals n dangerous moments were because of cb. Hendo can’t tell back line to keep the offside trap that’s on maguire to do. Maguire kept 3 Everton players onside for that 3rd goal since then its been de gea out like wtf

The one where he loses the ball time after time cause of egoistic play, or the one where he should score 2 more goals if he werent useless at finishing? Open goal, still manages to hit the gk? What the hell is this Rashford club of fangirls? Every single game is the same. Fucking conpare his chances goal/miss ratio. Top class?! Players who really showed up today was Maguire and James.. ofc Bruno, but we kind of expect that now. Stop this Rashford praising. Hes an absolute legend OFF the pitch with all his services to England. Noone can take that away from him. But you cant judge him from 2 minutes of "greatness" when a match lasts for 90 min. • Henderson - period. Commands the area and leads the defence Surely the keeper tells the defence were to be as he sees whats ahead and is not a bottler. De Gea on joining United was criticised as too weak has that changed nope. Maguire is more confident and having Telles at his side and not Donut boy then Maguire can focus on his game.Mourinho said Maguire has to cover Shaws position just watch how much time he spends actually doing that. Henderson is English and that ties in nicely with Man United having more English players in the national team as it used to be. When Harry Kane signs in the summer thats more marketing for the National team. Real were awful but you still have to score and create. Another away win Another manager schooled by Ole and proves the fuckwits Ole outters as scummy morons who post shyte on United fake fans stand as to what they are. Henderson is probably at the level of the current version of De Gea. Therefore do we let De Gea continue to get slightly worse and keep him place due to loyalty; or do we let Henderson have a run whilst we look good in the top 4. Because the other way of looking at it is...when would Henderson get a chance? Will we make transfers to go for the league next season? If so, can you really afford to rotate on a keeper when you haven’t convinced yourself first. It wouldn’t surprise me if we let Henderson down and keep Ge Dea just because of the massive salary (that nobody else was prepared to give him)

    • @Michael Rowell yeah nothing particularly against De Gea, I feel like after the last WC he returned lacking form and confidence. He is a victim of his own success because the standard is so high. But he hasn’t consistently met that standard for at least a couple of seasons now. I agree a higher calibre CB like how Bailly has been performing would help. Honestly... just some level of organisation and command would be great. But I think the team has evolved and what we need has changed within the last 18 months. So perhaps Henderson is more suited

    • And this didn't happen with DeGea in goal while Bailly was in the team when we had that great run in the EPL? Let's face it we need Bailly or a player of his type in front of our goalie at all times going forward. DeGea has been solid this season for the most part.

  • De Gea for me. Henderson hasn’t done anything wrong but he’s not won us any games yet. I like his distribution but for me he is still the number 2.

  • Scott injured

  • Scott really beginning to be a solid member of the team, hopefully he won't get set back by injuries. And Fred started playing forward passes finally. This midfield triangle may be our strongest point in the coming months/years if they can improve even more.

    • Fred has been doing it for a while.. he has had one or two conservative games recently. Honestly think he has been instructed to play safer balls.

  • I say Henderson, because I think De Gea has gotten too comfortable even with Dean in coming into the team and it’s time to see if Dean can handle the pressure of playing game in game out at United

    • I agree,Look at Shaw he perked up when first Williams and then Telles started challenging for his position

  • If Henderson goes number one, then de Gea will have to be sold.

    • De Gea £375k a week Martial £250k a week just think about when you go to bed early to be up for a 12 hour minumum wage on £8.72. Then think who would want them and who is dumb enough to pay it .Glazers sons golden boy and De Gea play because of exorbitant obscene salaries and real talent is shoved to the side.

    • @Kian Donovan Yeah I can understand that, but GK is unlike any other position on the pitch. Once you change there is no swapping every 4 or 5 games, it unbalances the team too much.

    • What the hell are we talking about, DeGea is the No. 1 keeper. Hendo can bide his time in the Cup comps, looks like he will get a decent run in the UEL now. Now is not the time to change goalies..
