The government claims we owe them almost $10,000. Hopefully my lawyer can get this figured out. At least we are getting closer to planting season!

  • Yep, the reason why you're paying taxes on your wages tips and salaries is because back in the days of Woodrow Wilson they gave control of the money supply to a cartel a private bankers that formed a banking corporation called the Federal reserve so since they control the money supply they charge the government interest for using their Federal reserve notes and then the government passes that interest on to us and the forum of an income tax.

  • I seem to recall that most buildings without gutters almost always have that rain drop gully on the perimeter of the building. Bark/mulch or some stone bed topping might help. As for the lawn, create some "micro-berms" (just like city or highway planners do) every 10 feet pertidicular to those gullies that form after each rain until the grass is established - old grass clippings or even a bale of straw or hay would help to hold the dirt in place and hide the seed.

  • The IRS cashed our 2019 tax payment check but never processed our tax return. It's messed us up for a while until my husband went in just yesterday to prove that we'd paid our taxes and they owe us $$ for 2020. In my book, they owe US interest, but that will NEVAH happen. 🙏 for a quick resolution ...and in your favor.

  • I hate gutters. We have a lot of trees and they are a pain the clear out. At least your house is taller than most of your trees. So unless you have water draining to your basement skip the bother. Put a nice strip of crushed rock around the house to prevent erosion.

Well, get used to it because that's what you hear in the background while they put you on hold,, they have offices in Philadelphia St Louis and San Francisco and they don't know anything about each other and you'll find yourself asking which one of you is the boss , don't ask they won't tell you. Whenever you talk to someone make sure you get their employee number because it you don't the next time you call you will have to start all over again, don't send them the originals send them copies of everything don't ,ask me how I know that ,they will tell you they received your paperwork but they lost it, then you'll have to .... I don't know what you have to do but just don't send them the original copies.

  • Well. My Dad always said "Pay your taxes, and you'll have no problems"..He was so right. He and my Mom had 8 kids, raised 6 ,two died at birth. We were fed home cooked meals every night. Yes we wore second hand clothes, drove in old cars , had weenie roasts, drank powdered milk, home made root beer, freshly baked bread, cool aid popcycles, My Dad after serving in the Korean war...worked 2 jobs for decades, went to night school for 13 years. Mom shopped, cooked, fed, clothed, and cleaned for 7 people, plus herself. She never asked for diamonds, cars, or swimming pools. And she worked everyday at the local pharmacy for 2.10 an hour. Oh, and she went to night school too. Dad played piano till midnight after working all day at Western Electric. Every cent went to bills, NOTHING could be saved. They couldn't afford to pack money away . They gave it all to the family. Never got welfare, Never filed for bankruptcy, and unlike Trump They always paid their taxes. peace out

  • I've seen something called "rain chains" but don't know exactly how they work. The rain follows the chain down to the ground or to a rain barrel. Unless you put cement down, or maybe pavers, the rain will continue to make the demarcation.

  • Ahh!...Spring! Can't wait for the planting to start! As for the water around your house, it reminded me of the house we had in Vernonia,Oregon. We got over 60" of rain annually back in 1980. We built a new home and had to install "French drains around the house to keep the water from eroding the soil around the house. Then I discovered I needed to do a second "French drain curtain around the whole property to keep the lawn from being washed out. So the moral is... Put some French Drains around your house and drain all the water off to a ditch a half mile away! Have fun!

  • Don’t you just LOVE the NEVER Passed by Congress, UnConstitutional taxation without representation plan that sisters up w/ the equally UnConstitutional Fed, which straps us w/ debt the minute we’re assigned our SSN at birth. And THIS, boys & girls is why the Dept of Ed has completely destroyed Civics & ACTUAL American History classes. Replacing it w/ revisionist garbage(let’s just call it what it is-propaganda!Hitler would be so proud.) Kept the population fighting amongst ourselves for decades, distracting us in every way imaginable, bc if we, esp the youth-the replacements for the old guard, woke up to the scam-we’d all fight them. So, teens, if you NEVER pay into the income tax scam to begin with-they canNOT legally make you do it. But, once you get caught in the IRS net, even death can’t release you. My Patriot Momma Bear rant for the day.

  • So the liberals of the IRS is trying to screw you over so they can line their pockets and give the money to the illegals. If you put that drain tile in your yard, you should consider running some pipe up to the house so when you do put the gutters on, you could then put the downspouts into the pipes and run the water through your drainage system and away from your house.

  • My grandfather was at war with grass my entire life. I mowed acres of lush grass in the orchards and vines. The only grass that didn't grow well was a 3/4 acre patch between the house and the road. It frustrated my grandfather. The orchards, vines, and veg areas typically had 16 inches of topsoil, 48 inches of yellow sand, and then clay to bedrock. I never analyzed the soil in that evil 3/4 acre of poor frustrating grass.
